You will lead three H&R Block tax offices, using your people-management experience to coach customer-centric teams and accelerate seasonal tax business. This front-line management role focuses on leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives across three offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.

You will start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time January through April, including evenings and weekends as needed. This role is in-person and not remote.

A Typical Day — As a Multi-Unit Team Leader, you will oversee three tax offices, lead daily team meetings, manage schedules and labor, and partner with the District General Manager to execute growth plans and client targets. You may assist with tax returns after successful completion of required training.

  • Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industries
What you'll bring to the team
  • Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders
  • Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and community involvement
  • Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and work with Associate Relations Center to resolve issues
  • Build an engaging team environment across all offices through training and coaching
  • Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to associates
  • Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management
  • Travel between offices as required
  • Prepare tax returns as needed, after successful completion of required training
Your Expertise
  • People management experience with ability to develop associates
  • Aptitude for growth plan execution and fostering a growth culture
  • Strong decision-making and judgment in a fast-paced environment
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience
  • Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns)

Pay Range and Employment Details

Pay range: $15.00 - $40.00/hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Final pay decisions depend on experience, education, skills, and location. Eligible employees may participate in incentive plans and benefits described above.
