Schedule: Sundays (Dependent on Pool Operating Hours)

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training or Y.M.C.A., American Red Cross Adult/Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED, American Heart Association Basic First Aid, W.S.I.

• Ensures daily teaching schedules and employee hours, reports changes to Aquatic Director.
• Maintains appearance and safety of the pool and surrounding areas.
• Handles staff and patron grievances, addresses to Aquatic Director.
• Enforces rules and regulations regarding staff and patrons.
• Keeps up-to-date and organized records of equipment and supplies.
• Keeps accurate weekly timesheets, daily and weekly logs, and in-service training records.
• Works as lifeguard in rotation as needed.
• Responsible for daily opening and closing of pool.
• Assures safety of all patrons.
• Evaluates performance of staff with Aquatic Director, reviews evaluation with each member.
• Responsible for testing pool while on duty.

• Massachusetts Class D Driver's License.
• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Completed 11th Grade.
• One (1) year related experience in lifeguarding of pools or open water.
• General knowledge of pools.
• Preferred:
  Certifications in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training or Y.M.C.A., American Red Cross Adult/Pediatric First Aid and CPR/AED, American Heart Association Basic First Aid, W.S.I.
