The Field Service Engineer will perform comprehensive system diagnostics and troubleshooting for multi-symptom issues. The role involves installing, configuring, and testing laser marking equipment at customer sites while conducting preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure peak system performance. This position requires managing logistics for field service visits, maintaining communication with customers, coworkers, and management regarding equipment status and service needs, and assisting in design/process improvements when necessary.

Technical phone support to customers and internal teams is also a key responsibility.

• Perform comprehensive system diagnostics and troubleshooting for multi-symptom issues.
• Install, configure, and test laser marking equipment at customer sites.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure peak system performance.
• Manage logistics for field service visits, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
• Maintain communication with customers, coworkers, and management regarding equipment status and service needs.
• Assist in design/process improvements when needed.
• Provide technical phone support to customers and internal teams.
• Work independently or collaboratively, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in PC usage, productivity software, and custom applications.
• Troubleshooting skills in AC/DC, field service, installation, electrical, mechanical, and commissioning.
• Experience in PLC programming and familiarity with Allen-Bradley systems.

• High School Diploma required.
• Technical certifications or an associate degree/bachelor’s degree are preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in field service, electrical, or mechanical technician roles.
• Strong understanding of electrical circuits, mechanical systems, and software interfaces.
• Ability to understand AC/DC fundamentals.
• PC savvy.

The position involves traveling about 75% of the time domestically, with occasional opportunities to travel to Canada or Mexico. The work environment is described as laid back, with an emphasis on working with interesting and advanced equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chillicothe, OH.

The pay range for this position is $26.44 – $33.65/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
