Schedule:

Monday - Friday. 8:00am‑4:30pm. No on‑call and no weekends.

As a Registered Nurse (RN) Preceptor, your day‑to‑day work makes a difference in the lives of our patients by ensuring quality and safe delivery of hospice services.

• Provide a welcoming onboarding experience and orient new staff.
• Complete clinical training for all new hospice staff and ensure delivery of quality training.
• Complete orientation and all ongoing competency and annual training for all hospice employees and staff that follow and fulfill CMS guidelines.
• Provide training and direction to hospice aides during the supervised practical portion of trainings.
• Work in the field with patients and staff as needed.
• Ensure quality and safe delivery of hospice services.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing and/or Executive Director regarding new initiatives.
• Work with local and regional leadership to improve patient outcomes.
• Develop tools and learning aides for field staff and clinical training for annual competencies.
• Work with Hospice Operations Specialist to develop clinical care documents, disease management processes, and clinical policies.
• Review clinical documentation in accordance with agency protocol and Medicare/Federal guidelines.

• Utilization of nursing best practices and the ability to make appropriate nursing judgments.

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, at least one (1) year must be in the provision of home health care or hospice.
• Previous clinical training experience preferred.
• Technical/computer skills and use of electronic medical documentation. HCHB experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
• Capable of all physical demands.
