Location:
Chilliwack, BC.
Role Summary The Accounting Clerk reports to the Controller and provides accounting support to Teks Med Services Inc. and related companies in collaboration with the operations and administration team.
Responsibilities Generate monthly billings to clients and adjust invoices.
Initiate collection calls for delinquent accounts; create and submit client aged reports every Monday (5th of each month).
Maintain frequent contact with internal and external customers to resolve collection issues.
Perform in‑depth customer payment analysis to resolve disputed items.
Receive daily customer payments and prepare bank deposit and bank run reports.
Receive, post, and reconcile checks, credit card, and EFT payments from clients.
File accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
Reconcile and balance bank accounts.
Provide operational administrative assistance when required.
Monitor and purchase office supplies.
Gather, code, enter, approve, and reconcile AP using Sage Accounting, Rosent/Clearview, and MS Excel.
Verify, prepare, and issue vendor invoices for AP using Sage 50 Accounting.
Prepare cheques and online payments for vendor payables.
Prepare AP and outstanding issue reports for the Controller.
Enter and post payroll checks or direct deposit postings.
Prepare GST, PST, source deductions, WCB, and WSIB remittances.
Qualifications Proven time‑management skills and ability to prioritize.
Ability to handle challenging and stressful environments.
Effective oral and written communication skills with a professional attitude.
Self‑motivated with willingness to take on responsibilities and continuous learning.
Understanding of core accounting functions including the accounting cycle, trial balances, and general ledgers.
Knowledge of accounting practices and controls of TMS.
Strong data entry accuracy and efficiency.
Administrative management experience, including filing systems.
Operating knowledge of fax, printer, photocopier, and other business equipment.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Adobe, Intelex, Kiwili, Rosnet.
Problem‑solving ability and proactive “think‑outside‑the‑box” mindset.

Salary Base salary $45,000 - $55,000 annually (base only).
