This full-time Senior Accountant role in Chilliwack's Finance Department demands a blend of public sector acumen and hands-on accounting experience. You will ensure compliance with municipal policies while effectively managing financial and managerial tasks such as job costing and budget oversight.

Your role will also include contributing to the Emergency Operations Centre during crises, showcasing your adaptability and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in achieving operational efficiency through accounting

• Oversee financial reporting and budgeting processes

• Create audit files and collaborate with external auditors

• Conduct internal audits and controls

• Provide financial planning support as required

Requirements:

• Degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent

• Completion of CORE 1 and CORE 2 of CPA Program

• Minimum of 3 years relevant accounting experience

• Strong understanding of job costing

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
