Christian Middle School Teacher Grades 8 & 9

Position: Christian Middle School Teacher for Grades 8 & 9
Provide transformative education as a Middle School Teacher for Grade 8 and 9. Emphasize a strengths-based approach while integrating a Biblical worldview in English, Social Studies, and Science.

Aiming for a compassionate educator who embodies the mission of fostering a Christian learning environment. Responsibilities will include utilizing place-based strategies and inquiry-based learning to enhance student engagement and achievement. Strong organizational skills and effective communication with students and families are key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate hands-on, competency-focused learning experiences

• Employ effective classroom management practices

• Communicate a Biblical worldview through instruction

• Partner with students and families to support learning

• Engage with place-based initiatives in lesson design

Requirements:

• British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate required (or in progress)

• Must be eligible to work in British Columbia

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• Familiarity with UDL and inquiry-based strategies

• Willingness to be mentored for professional development
