Become a District Counsellor in the Fraser Cascade School District, supporting elementary students' mental health with direct, collaborative assistance. This term-specific position needs flexible hours for effective outreach.

In your full-time role, you'll work alongside the Inclusive Education Team to support student well-being across various environments. Your focus will include providing counselling and mental health support to students at school, home, and community locations. Collaboration with Child & Youth Care Workers and advocacy for student needs will be crucial aspects of your position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver mental health support at school and home

• Supervise District Child & Youth Care Workers

• Collaborate on safety and support plans

• Offer direct instruction in skills for students

• Engage with Indigenous communities as necessary

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology

• Bachelor of Education degree

• Minimum two years of teaching experience

• Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate

• Strong experience in inclusive education practices
