Position: Counselling Role for K-12 Students
Join Kwíyeqel Secondary School as a School Counsellor dedicated to Grade 9-12 students. This temporary, full-time role focuses on behaviour management and student support.

At the SD33 Learning Centre Storefront, a School Counsellor is needed to assist secondary students in overcoming personal challenges. You will be responsible for creating and implementing CBIEPs, conducting assessments, and ensuring students engage with their graduation plans. Collaborating with educators, parents, and community resources is essential to provide tailored support to each student.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and assess student CBIEPs in collaboration with teachers

• Conduct behavioural screenings and assessments

• Facilitate student support through community service connections

• Monitor and guide students towards graduation pathways

• Lead a School Based Team to support student needs

Requirements:

• Master’s in counselling psychology or a related area

• Significant experience with BC Graduation Plans

• Background in school counselling for secondary students

• Strong advocacy skills for student needs

• Proven collaborative approach with staff and community
