Inclusive Education Teacher in Hope, B.C.

Location: Hope

Shape the future of diverse learners as an Inclusive Education Teacher at Spirit of Hope Secondary in Hope, B.C. This term-specific role requires skillful integration and support for all students.

The position effectively starts on September 8, 2026, for a term ending June 25, 2027, or upon the return of the incumbent. You will collaborate with teachers and education assistants to meet various educational needs. Your expertise in developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) will be essential as you guide and support students, ensuring they receive the best possible learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in integrating learners with low incidence designations

• Coordinate and write Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

• Manage a case load of identified students and their IEPs

• Facilitate professional development on inclusive practices

• Lead school-based team meetings for student support

Requirements:

• Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate

• Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent

• Minimum two years satisfactory teaching experience in diverse settings

• Training as Learning Assistance Teacher preferred

• Experience using technology for classroom instruction
