Position: Middle School Teacher (possible include Grade 8 & 9 English, Social Studies, Science, ADST)

Employment Type: 1.0 FTE

Position Dates: Sept 2026‑June 2027 (Maternity Leave)

Salary Range: $54,866‑$87,523 (dependent on education/certificate and experience)

• Use place‑based learning and the Going PLACES initiative to enhance competency‑focused learning objectives.
• Develop inquiry‑based, hands‑on learning opportunities paired with subject‑related outcomes.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with students, staff, and parents.
• Maintain strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Communicate a Biblical worldview throughout all subjects.

• Possess or be in the process of attaining a British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate.
• Be eligible to work in British Columbia.
• Be willing to receive guidance from a mentor.
• Know effective strategies for Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and place‑based learning.
• Be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills with students, staff, and parents.
• Have strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Communicate a Biblical worldview throughout all subjects.
