Position: Become a Sessional Instructor at JIBC
Join the Justice Institute of British Columbia as a Sessional Instructor in Health Sciences, focusing on planting the seeds for future paramedics. Engage students with real-world experiences and promote safety in a rewarding educational setting.

Starting in September 2026, this position involves guiding aspiring Primary Care Paramedics through their educational journey. Instructors are expected to provide hands-on support, evaluate student progress, and enhance learning experiences. Flexibility is key, with classes scheduled Monday to Thursday and a commitment to at least six teaching days per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction in the Primary Care Paramedic program

• Support hands-on student demonstrations and practice

• Assess and provide feedback on student performance

• Maintain teaching records and promote professional behavior

• Contribute to an inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

• Active licensing as a PCP through EMALB

• Availability for a minimum of six teaching days monthly

• Two years of paramedic field experience preferred

• Experience in teaching or mentoring preferred

• Excellent communication skills
