Join Spirit of Hope Secondary School as a Term Specific Teacher, where you will instruct Photography, Media Arts, and Art from September 8, 2026, to June 25, 2027.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for educators passionate about visual arts education.

This full-time position requires a valid B.C. Teaching Certificate and a university degree in secondary education. You will engage students in Photography 10-12 and various Media Arts courses, including Art 10-12 and Media Art 10-12. Preference is given to applicants with secondary teaching experience and expertise in working with Indigenous students and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Photography 10-12 to engage creative learners

• Instruct Art 10-12 and Media Arts, fostering artistic skills

• Implement creative lesson plans and assessment strategies

• Foster an inclusive environment for all students

• Collaborate with faculty and support Indigenous student needs

Requirements:

• Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate required

• University degree in secondary education needed

• Journeyperson certification necessary

• Proven success at the secondary teaching level preferred

• Experience with Indigenous communities is highly valued
