Position: Full-Time Kindergarten Teacher at Sqwá First Nation
Impact young learners at Sqwá First Nation as a full-time Kindergarten Teacher. Deliver engaging play-based instruction while integrating Stó:lō culture and ensuring children are ready for Grade 1.

This permanent position involves teaching children aged 5-6, utilizing the BC Curriculum in a culturally enriched environment. You will prepare classroom materials, maintain organization, and guide students in their daily learning experiences while fostering emotional and social development. Building relationships with parents and staff is essential to promote a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare art supplies and classroom materials for lessons

• Deliver daily instruction following BC Curriculum

• Conduct assessments and progress evaluations for students

• Maintain classroom cleanliness and safety standards

• Plan and coordinate events like graduations and field trips

Requirements:

• Valid BCTF Teaching Certificate required

• Minimum 1 year direct Kindergarten teaching experience

• Certification in Saxon Math and Read Well programs

• Successful completion of Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check

• Knowledge of Stó:lō culture is an asset
