Position: Kindergarten Teacher Role with Sqwá First Nation
Join Sqwá First Nation as a Kindergarten Teacher to provide a vibrant, culturally informed educational experience. Support children aged 5 to 6 in their academic and emotional growth while preparing them for their educational journey.

This full-time, permanent position requires a dedicated educator who excels in play-based instruction and is well-versed in the BC Curriculum. You will integrate Stó:lō traditions and cultural teachings into daily lessons, fostering a rich learning environment. Your successful guidance will shape students' foundational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and organize effective classroom materials

• Facilitate dynamic lessons through engaging methodologies

• Maintain communication with parents about children's progress

• Supervise and support educational assistants

• Conduct student assessments and participate in reporting

Requirements:

• BCTF Teaching Certificate is essential

• At least 1 year of teaching experience (Kindergarten preferred)

• Certification in Saxon Math and Read Well literacy

• Knowledge of classroom management and safety protocols

• Understanding of First Nations culture is beneficial
