Join Mount Slesse Middle School as a Temporary Learning Assistance Teacher. This full-time position emphasizes collaboration and inclusive education for students with special needs.
The role requires a qualified educator who can execute assessments and adapt curricula to meet diverse learning needs. You will work closely with both students and educators to implement effective learning strategies and support services. This contract runs until December 18, 2026, or until the returning teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct classroom observations and curriculum-based assessments
• Develop and evaluate individualized education plans
• Coordinate inclusive support services among faculty
• Manage resources for both students and Educational Assistants
• Foster positive relationships with the school community
Requirements:
• Expertise in teaching students with special needs
• Background in the development of Competency-Based IEPs
• Familiarity with Ministry of Education policies
• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration
• Willingness to engage in ongoing district training
