Support students as a Temporary Counselling Teacher at Agassiz Elementary Secondary School, providing counselling support and teaching Grade 9 English. This 0.8 F.T.E. assignment is effective immediately through December 2, 2026, or the incumbent’s return.
The successful applicant will provide counselling support while teaching one Grade 9 English block. Candidates must hold a valid B.C. Teaching Certificate, a university degree in secondary education, and a Master’s degree in Counselling or equivalent designation. Previous successful secondary teaching experience and work with Indigenous students, families, and communities are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide counselling support to students
- Teach one block of Grade 9 English
- Support students at Agassiz Elementary Secondary School
- Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate
- University degree in secondary education
- Master’s degree in Counselling or equivalent designation
- Previous successful secondary teaching experience preferred
- Experience working with Indigenous students, families, and communities preferred
