This assignment requires teaching all subjects while addressing diverse academic and social/emotional learning needs. Key Responsibilities:
Plan and teach required subjects for Grade 1/2 students
Create balanced literacy and numeracy learning programs
Use data sets to identify needs and guide instruction
Implement First Peoples Principles of Learning
Collaborate with the assigned teaching team and school community
Requirements:
Extensive academic training and professional teaching preparation
Qualifications across all areas of the assignment
Experience supporting diverse learners through differentiated instruction
Knowledge of current Ministry evaluation and reporting procedures
Ability to apply Professional Standards for BC Educators
Bring elementary teaching expertise, literacy and numeracy instruction, and collaborative planning to this Grade 1/2 assignment.
