Scarborough CAD Technologist

Position: Scarborough CAD Technologist Role
Become a CAD Technologist at Dexian in Scarborough, ON, for a contract of six months. This position focuses on updating and modernizing CAD drawings to support engineering projects.

You will work alongside senior designers and engineers to convert legacy technical documents into standardized, production-ready formats. Ideal candidates pursuing Mechanical Engineering or CAD studies will gain valuable experience within an engineering-focused team setting, contributing to quality manufacturing initiatives through meticulous documentation management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modernize CAD drawings to meet current industry standards

• Standardize documentation into production-ready formats

• Draft and update fabrication and assembly schematics

• Validate BOMs for accuracy and completeness

• Ensure adherence to drafting conventions and document control

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology program

• Proficient in CAD applications, such as Solid Works or AutoCAD

• Ability to interpret and draft mechanical drawings

• High attention to detail in documentation tasks

• Experience with drafting standards preferred
