Experienced Geotechnical Engineer Needed

Peter Lucas Project Management seeks a skilled Geotechnical Engineer for mining operations in Kamloops, BC, working on a 7 days on/7 days off schedule. Engage in ground support design and effective geotechnical assessments.

This role involves collaborating with other engineers and site teams to enhance mining safety. You will conduct field inspections, develop support strategies, and provide technical recommendations based on geotechnical data. Your ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support for underground development activities

• Optimize ground support designs based on findings

• Monitor and assess ground conditions for safety

• Conduct field inspections and gather relevant data

• Analyze data to inform mine operations and strategies

Requirements:

• Degree in Geotechnical, Geological, or Mining Engineering

• Professional engineering designation (P.Eng.) required

• Experience in underground mining and geotechnics

• Knowledge of geotechnical monitoring techniques

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
