Position: Planner I at City
Join the City of Chilliwack as a Planner I and contribute to effective planning operations. This internal, full-time role concentrates on technical and compliance aspects of urban development.

Restricted to City of Chilliwack employees, the Planner I role supports management in achieving efficient department operations. Responsibilities include preparing development reports, managing technical support, and ensuring compliance with zoning and building regulations. You will also be involved in direct public engagement and site assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare reports for planning initiatives

• Engage with inquiries related to development projects

• Offer technical guidance throughout planning processes

• Review and assess applications for permits

• Complete compliance checks during site visits

Requirements:

• Hold a diploma in Geography or Planning with experience

• Familiarity with development industry regulations

• Strong writing and communication skills

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

• Must possess or obtain a valid B.C. Driver's Licence
