Position: Worker for Mental Health Support Services
Join First Avenue as a Mental Health Worker dedicated to supporting clients in an assisted living setting. This role focuses on empowering them through social, mental, and physical support.

The position entails working closely with mental health consumers to facilitate their daily activities and enhance their skills for a more independent lifestyle. By implementing programs that promote recovery principles, you will create a nurturing and constructive environment. Experience in Psychosocial Rehabilitation is crucial for success in this collaborative role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide essential support for meals, social activities, and overall well-being

• Implement community access and awareness programs

• Foster recovery through the 'Spirit of Gentleness' philosophy

• Monitor and document behavioral changes in clients

• Coordinate with community resources for enhanced client support

Requirements:

• Training in Psychosocial Rehabilitation or Psychology

• Experience with psychotropic medications is a plus

• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license required

• Certification in Emergency First Aid with CPR

• Strong communication and team skills
