Title:

Regional Engagement Coordinator

Salary:  $68,263 - $85,328 - $93,861 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract:

(1) Permanent Position | (1) 12-Month Term Position | (1) 6-Month Term Position

Hours:

Standard hours, 37.5 hours per week (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location:

Any Fraser Salish Region Offices (Sto:lo, Matsqui, or Surrey) - Hybrid, expectation to be in office 3 to 4 times a week.

About

The Role
As Regional Engagement Coordinator, you will foster meaningful interactions and relationships with Fraser Salish First Nations and other health organizations and partners. This role will be responsible to facilitate interactions and ensure smooth and consistent communication channels and coordinate events, meetings, and initiatives aimed at engaging Fraser Salish First Nations. This will involve communication, collaboration, planning, and implementing outreach strategies, managing social media presence to enhance engagement, and promptly document and respond to inquiries or feedback.

The role will develop and support local engagement activities as part of the broader regional team and ensure that engagement functions and resources are effectively integrated, organized and leveraged to meet strategic and operational needs within the region.

About You
To be successful in this role you will have/be –

Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (REQUIRED)

A diploma or certificate in Indigenous Studies, Health Sciences, Health Administration, Education, Social Services or a related field

An acceptable combination of education, training, and professional experience will be considered

Education & Occupational Certification, Experience (ASSET)

A University degree in Indigenous Studies, Health Sciences, Health Administration, Education, Social Services or a related field

Experience working with Indigenous people at a community and/or political level

Knowledgeable about Fraser Salish First Nations traditional knowledge, culture, ceremony and protocols

Proven work experience with engagement and/or similar role

A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License

Knowledge

Knowledge of our unique BC First Nations health governance structure and journey

Knowledge of the FNHA, FNHC and FNHDA’s shared values, seven directives and shared leadership statement

Knowledge of the 32 Fraser Salish First Nations and regional governance structure
