We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to provide comprehensive care and assistance to individuals in a home setting. This role involves working closely with employer who can cook Chinese food, do lite cleaning housework, run errands, grocery shopping, pharmacy for the employer. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients while working in a supportive environment.

Terms of Employment:
Permanent/full-time. 30 hours per week $24.5/hour

Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized patient care, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
• Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and maintaining a safe living environment
• Support clients with dementia or disabilities through specialized caregiving techniques
• Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
• Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure safety and comfort
• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being

Requirements:

• 7 months of experience in assisted living, senior care, or hospice care preferred
• Strong patient care skills with knowledge of caregiving best practices
• Familiarity with medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Ability to work with individuals with disabilities or dementia
• Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanor
• Attention to details
• Capable of meal preparation preferably Chinese food
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently in a live-in setting
• Basic cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic environment
• Driver’s license required
• First Aid required
• Language:
  English
