Location: Agassiz
Western Community College seeks a Lab Instructor for its Medical Laboratory Assistant program at the Agassiz campus. Bring your MLT expertise to inspire future healthcare professionals.
This casual position allows experienced Medical Laboratory Technologists to develop curriculum, teach lab sessions, and ensure quality education for students. You'll engage in student evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop curriculum following BCSLS competencies for Lab Assistants
• Create engaging teaching experiences for students
• Evaluate and provide feedback on student progress
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve learning quality
• Support a collegial and professional work environment
Requirements:
• Certified Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing with CSMLS
• Minimum of 2 years recent laboratory experience
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• Commitment to student success and professional development
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet class needs
