Security Consultant; MS Purview

Position: Security Consultant (MS Purview )
Security Clearance needed  About the Role  This role involves implementing Microsoft Purview for data governance, classification, and compliance. It also requires developing scripts and automation in Power Shell, Python, and KQL to enhance Purview capabilities. Additional responsibilities include configuring and managing the Microsoft Defender suite as well as deploying and supporting Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) for monitoring, alerting, and incident response.

The role also requires building KQL queries, dashboards, and detection rules.
Responsibilities   Implement Microsoft Purview for data governance, classification, and compliance
Develop scripts/automation (Power Shell, Python, KQL) to enhance Purview capabilities (must-have)
Configure and manage Microsoft Defender suite
Deploy and support Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) including monitoring, alerting, and incident response
Build KQL queries, dashboards, and detection rules
Qualifications   Microsoft Purview + coding experience (mandatory)
Microsoft Defender & Sentinel (strong)
Scripting experience in Power Shell, Python, KQL
Azure security and monitoring experience
Required Skills   Reliability or Secret Clearance
Microsoft Purview experience
One of the following certifications:  Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA)
Certified Data Professional (CDP-ICCP) — Master level or higher
Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP-DAMA) — Master level or higher
Certified Big Data Professional (CBDP-ICCP) — Master level or higher
Certified Cyber Crimes investigators certificate (CCCI)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Information Systems Security Engineering Qualified (CISSP - ISSEP)
Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (CISSP - ISSAP)
Information Systems Security Management Professional (CISSP - ISSMP)
