About the role

We're looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented IT Support Technician to join our growing technology team. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues — helping them get back up and running quickly and professionally.

This is an excellent opportunity to build a strong foundation in IT while gaining hands‑on experience with real enterprise systems. You'll receive mentorship from senior IT staff and have a clear path to grow into specialized roles in networking, cybersecurity, or systems administration.

What you'll do
  • Respond to and resolve help‑desk tickets via phone, email, and in‑person support
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues for end users
  • Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
  • Manage user accounts and access permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Document support tickets, resolutions, and IT procedures accurately
  • Escalate complex issues to Tier 2 or senior IT staff when needed
  • Assist with onboarding new employees (equipment setup, account provisioning)
  • Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (post‑secondary in IT is a plus)
  • Basic understanding of Windows OS and Microsoft 365
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests at once
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment
Nice to have
  • CompTIA A+ or Google IT Support Certificate
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (Jira, Service Now, Zendesk)
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with Active Directory or Azure AD
  • Any IT internship or volunteer tech support experience
