Building Maintenance Supervisor

Lead building maintenance operations within the Recreation and Culture Department in Chilliwack. This full-time Supervisor II role focuses on managing projects, resources, and budgets while ensuring high standards for civic facilities.

The Supervisor II - Building Maintenance reports to the Manager of Civic Facilities. This working supervisor will oversee maintenance staff, coordinate projects, and participate in after-hours emergencies. To be successful, you'll need a strong foundation in building systems and experience managing multiple priorities in maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee maintenance staff and coordinate projects

• Manage resources and maintenance budgets effectively

• Ensure facilities meet safety and high operational standards

• Participate in after-hours emergency responses

• Perform hands-on maintenance as needed

Requirements:

• Grade 12 plus a two-year Building Maintenance program

• Minimum five years building maintenance experience

• At least two years in a supervisory capacity

• Strong background in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC

• Must have valid B.C. Driver’s Licence
