Feed Mill Operator

Job Summary

Feed Mill Operator role at Chilliwack Mill, responsible for operating bulk receiving, mixing, pelleting, and shipping activities, ensuring uninterrupted production and meeting quality standards.

• Operate production machinery and identify areas to optimize performance.
• Ensure quality and food safety standards are met.
• Meet or exceed production targets, record data on production orders and activities.
• Execute small maintenance tasks and repair work on production equipment.
• Promote awareness of unsafe situations and take appropriate action.

• 2–3 years manufacturing experience (asset).
• Good computer skills.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Boiler certificate Class 5 preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts: 5:30AM–2:00PM, 1:30PM–10:00PM, 9:30PM–6:00AM.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Capacity to lift 25kg regularly.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail in fast‑paced environment, team player, coachable.
• Exposure to elements, noise, dust, and work at heights.
• Basic computer skills with attention to detail and strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
