Position: Wastewater Treatment Operator Trainee Role
Utility Operations seeks a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in Training for full-time employment. Focus on supporting efficient sewage treatment and equipment monitoring.

This role is designed for individuals eager to delve into wastewater management. You will assist with operational tasks such as operating disposal equipment, maintaining aeration systems, and ensuring the cleanliness of processing areas. Work under supervision while adhering to safety protocols and compliance measures at the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor sludge disposal equipment

• Manage flow by clearing coarse materials

• Clean processing tanks and maintain plant cleanliness

• Participate in preventive maintenance activities

• Record and log samples and tests

Requirements:

• Must have completed grade 12 education

• Ability to obtain EOCP Wastewater Treatment Certificate Level I

• Hold a valid B.C. Driver's License

• Knowledge of treatment plant operations

• Willingness to work in wet and odorous conditions
