Powder Coating and Sandblasting Technician

Apply powder coating expertise in Chilliwack, BC, preparing marine parts through sandblasting, masking, hanging, and quality inspection.

Advan Tec Marine seeks a Powder Coater for its Paint team, supporting marine, crane, and closure finishing. The skilled position requires hands-on experience with Bondo, bodywork, priming, and varied surface preparation. You will work alongside painters, welders, fabricators, and production staff.

• Operate dip tank cleaning systems safely and efficiently
• Perform paint stripping, sandblasting, and surface preparation
• Clean, mask, hang, and inspect parts before coating
• Apply powder coatings according to procedures and quality standards
• Identify defects and complete touch-ups or rework

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Paint preparation, powder coating, or sandblasting experience considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail and quality commitment
• Ability to wear required PPE throughout the workday
• Ability to perform physical tasks during an eight-hour shift
