Tertiary Mental Health Nurse

Make a difference as a Tertiary Mental Health Nurse at Fraser Health in Chilliwack, B.C. We're looking for a Casual Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse to foster a supportive environment for patients in need.

Your role will encompass comprehensive assessments and collaborative care planning with multidisciplinary teams to assist patients battling mental health and substance use challenges. A minimum of one year in a related mental health context is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor nursing care for assigned clients

• Facilitate psycho educational and therapeutic group sessions

• Conduct timely documentation and reporting of patient progress

• Advocate for patient rights and health autonomy

• Mentor and educate nursing staff and students

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• Active registration with BCCNM

• One year of mental health experience required

• Skillful in crisis intervention and assessment

• Committed to promoting patient-centered care
