Culturally Health Nurse

Position: Culturally Competent Health Nurse Role
Lead Indigenous health initiatives as a liaison nurse with Fraser Health. Focus on assessments, education, and connecting clients to culturally relevant services.

Fraser Health is looking for a dedicated Indigenous Health Liaison Nurse to support clients in diverse settings. You will act as a key contact between Indigenous populations and healthcare services, providing needed assessments and promoting health education tailored to cultural practices.

Your role extends into public advocacy and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consult with clients and create tailored care plans

• Provide health education to clients and communities

• Engage with community agencies for service optimization

• Share knowledge of Indigenous cultures with medical staff

• Keep accurate records and contribute to reports

Requirements:

• Registration as a Registered Nurse with BCCNM

• Minimum of two years' recent nursing experience

• Understanding of Indigenous health perspectives

• Valid BC Driver's License and vehicle access

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
