Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Deliver emergency department nursing care with Fraser Health through patient assessment, clinical reasoning, and person-centered practice in British Columbia.
This Registered Nurse provides direct care within Fraser Health’s emergency department. Working with an interprofessional care team, you assess patients, develop nursing diagnoses, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes. The position also supports care planning, discharge coordination, patient education, referrals, documentation, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess patients using observation, communication, data review, and physical assessment
Plan, provide, and evaluate nursing interventions and care
Coordinate care, prioritize tasks, and delegate to support staff
Teach patients and families about health restoration and self-care
Document assessments, interventions, outcomes, and referrals accurately
Requirements:
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM
Emergency postgraduate coursework or equivalent preparation
Ability to communicate with patients, families, and care teams
Physical ability to perform position duties
