Position: Cultural Child & Youth Mentor Role
Become a Child & Youth Mentor at Xyólheméylh, specializing in Indigenous youth support. This full-time position focuses on cultural teachings and community connections.

In this role, you will work closely with the Family Strengthening Team to support Indigenous youth as they transition to independence. You will build relationships that foster respect and understanding, integrating Indigenous values into your support strategies. This position emphasizes the importance of community involvement and cultural identity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with various team members for effective support

• Establish trust and rapport with youth and families

• Link youth to essential community resources

• Conduct group and individual counseling sessions

• Track and evaluate youth progress toward goals

Requirements:

• Preferred diploma or substantial cultural experience

• Awareness of Indigenous community dynamics

• Exceptional communication skills

• Proven ability to build lasting relationships

• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
