Family Services Social Worker

Position: Full-Time Family Services Social Worker
Join Xyólheméylh as a Family Services Social Worker in Chilliwack, where your focus on Indigenous culture will make an impact. Promote wellbeing and community connections for Indigenous families every day.

In this full-time role, you will work with First Nations, Métis, and Inuit children and families, delivering community-based services. Collaborating with community members, you will provide culturally responsive support in alignment with the BC Child, Family, and Community Services Act.

Your role centers on reinforcing family bonds and planning for children's needs through various service models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement Structured Decision Making (SDM) tools effectively

• Conduct thorough assessments of families' strength and needs

• Facilitate Family Case Planning and Group Conferences

• Monitor and evaluate family plans for progress

• Collaborate with community and professionals to ensure service delivery

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Social Work or Social Sciences Degree

• Minimum 3 years in Human Services preferred

• Knowledge of Indigenous culture and history

• Valid BC Driver’s Class 5 License required

• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
