Position: Weekend Support Worker for Recovery Home

Become a vital part of Sq’éwqel as a Weekend Recovery Home Support Worker in Agassiz, BC. Work collaboratively to support client safety and engagement in community activities.

This part-time role focuses on enhancing the lives of individuals affected by mental illness and addiction under the guidance of the Recovery Home Supervisor. You'll utilize crisis intervention skills and culturally informed practices to foster independence and resilience among clients, while contributing positively to their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate crisis support when necessary

• Document client progress and maintain records

• Adhere to ethical standards and professional conduct

• Facilitate household responsibilities and safety for clients

• Organize engaging recreational and social activities

Requirements:

• Completed Grade 12 alongside recognized Social Services credentials

• Food Safe Level 1 and First Aid certification required

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in related mental health fields

• Familiarity with Indigenous community dynamics

• Valid class 5 driver's license necessary
