to $97,.82
per annum (35 hrs per week)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Family Strengthening Team Leaders provide direction, leadership, and support to staff within their team for professional and integrated services delivery and ensure adequate support is provided as well as a broad range of staff training and development. Working closely with teams, the team leader will utilize their child welfare experience to assist in assessing the strengths and risks associated with the connections that are being supported and determining the level of intervention or support that is required for each family as a result of these assessments.
The Family Strengthening program recognizes the importance of keeping children who are in foster care connected to their families by promoting meaningful family time through supported family visits. The program provides families with support – not just supervision – and constructive, strengths-based feedback to help them have successful visits. The focus is on the facilitation of family growth and development, providing assistance in parental skill development and delivering support and family education programs as identified by a referral/assessment of the needs of the family.
Ongoing evaluation and assessment of strengths and risks for families involved with the program is necessary to ensure adequate support/education is provided.
Xyólheméylh is proud to have an Elders Advisory Council to ensure that culture is embedded throughout the agency ensuring the goals, missions and values are upheld in a good way. Lets'emót – to be of one heart and one mind.
