Become a Connections Specialist for Young Adults with Seabird Island, dedicated to empowering high-risk individuals through engaging community programs.

Seabird Island is looking for skilled individuals to develop impactful programs for youth and young adults navigating challenges. This role emphasizes culturally relevant support, fostering environments where participants can connect and thrive. You will lead activities, provide mentorship, and ensure inclusivity while engaging the community through collaboration with families and Elders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement wellness-focused programs

• Facilitate engaging structured group activities

• Mentor youth with personalized action planning

• Build collaborative family relationships

• Coordinate outreach to connect with unengaged youth

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in community development or similar

• Experience in Indigenous communities, ideally 3+ years

• Demonstrated ability to motivate and engage at-risk youth

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Familiarity with cultural teachings and practices
