Drive community impact at Seabird Island as an Income Assistance Coordinator, focusing on empowering members via social assistance. This role emphasizes effective client support and resource management.

As the Income Assistance Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to assist Seabird Island Band members in navigating social assistance applications. You'll engage clients to assess their needs and connect them with the right resources. Your effective communication abilities will be crucial as you facilitate workshops and build positive relationships to promote independence and client empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process social assistance applications per ISC guidelines

• Conduct client needs assessments and eligibility evaluations

• Lead budgeting and resource workshops for clients

• Maintain accurate records and submit monthly reports

• Collaborate with the Health and Social Development team

Requirements:

• Diploma in Social Services or relevant field

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in social development

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Solid understanding of budgeting and financial principles

• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and community programs
