Location: Agassiz
Join Seabird Island’s team as a Pre-Employment Support Caseworker in Agassiz, BC, and contribute to the career development of community members.
This role offers direct interaction to foster job readiness and personal growth.
This full-time position emphasizes supporting individuals in overcoming barriers to employment and developing sustainable career pathways. You will coordinate with various local organizations and programs, ensuring holistic client support. Additionally, working one-on-one with clients to assess their needs and connect them with vital resources will be key.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients with career planning and goal setting
• Provide educational and training program information
• Build partnerships with local employers
• Conduct community outreach to enhance support awareness
• Collaborate with other community support programs
Requirements:
• Degree in Social Services, Human Resources preferred
• Required Career Development Practitioner Certificate
• 2-3 years experience in similar roles
• Understanding of employment trends in the area
• Experience in delivering effective training methods
