Semi Automatic Side Load Garbage Truck Driver – Class 3

Position: Semi Automatic Side Load Garbage Truck Driver – Class 3 )
Key Responsibilities   Operate an Automatic Side Load (ASL) residential garbage truck on assigned collection routes
Collect, transport, and dispose of residential waste safely and efficiently following municipal and company guidelines
Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are safe and road-ready
Follow traffic laws, health and safety procedures, and company policies at all times
Report route delays, service concerns, vehicle issues, or equipment malfunctions to dispatch or management
Represent the company professionally while interacting with residents and the public
Maintain accurate route sheets, inspection records, and required documentation
Ensure safe operation of equipment and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle as needed
Qualifications   Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement required
Clean driver’s abstract with a safe driving record
Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience; waste management or heavy truck experience considered an asset
Comfortable working independently and following scheduled routes with minimal supervision
Strong communication and customer service skills
Physically capable of repetitive truck entry/exit and occasional lifting when required
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work in various weather conditions
Pay: $35.00 per hour
