Kent Public Works Equipment Operator

Become a vital part of Kent's Public Works team as a Time-Durated Equipment Operator 2, located in the scenic Eastern Fraser Valley. This role involves operating large municipal equipment and maintaining community standards.

In this position, you will need a strong track record of equipment operation, performing both general tasks and specialized duties. Candidates should have at least three years of relevant experience and the required qualifications. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of public works operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate graders, mowers, backhoes, and related equipment

• Conduct daily inspections and minor equipment maintenance

• Aid in light repairs while ensuring safety

• Follow procedures for proper equipment operation

• Document all maintenance and operations activities clearly

Requirements:

• High school diploma or proven equivalent

• Minimum three years of heavy equipment operating experience

• Heavy Equipment Operator certification or Level B for specific equipment

• Class 3 BC Driver’s License with air endorsement

• Police Information Check required for preferred candidates
