the Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Class 1 Driver - Daycab (Local) to join our transportation team. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods across regional and long‑distance routes while maintaining compliance with all transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Class 1 tractor‑trailers for routes.
  • Perform pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections.
  • Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and HOS/Transport Canada regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper weight distribution.
  • Maintain accurate trip records, logs, and required paperwork.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, or delays promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and pickups.
About You
  • Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • 3–5 years of commercial long‑haul driving experience.
  • Strong knowledge of highway driving, routes, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Physically capable of lifting, securing, and handling freight.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Basic knowledge of truck operation for minor repairs on the road.
