Class 5 Driver with Air Brake Endorsement – This temporary position covers a Leave of Absence until August 31, 2026, with the possibility of a full‑time role depending on business needs.
What You’ll DoAs a Class 5 Driver, you will safely transport, load, secure, and deliver premium window and door products while representing Westeck professionally. You will operate independently, ensuring safety in mountain and winter conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate company vehicles with a Class 5 licence and Air Brake Endorsement
- Transport and deliver windows, doors, and related products to customers and job sites
- Perform pre‑trip, post‑trip, and daily vehicle inspections
- Load, secure, and unload products to prevent damage
- Verify shipments and delivery documentation for accuracy
- Maintain compliance with transportation regulations and company safety standards
- Navigate mountain highways and varying road conditions safely
- Operate effectively in winter conditions (snow, ice, reduced visibility)
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members
- Report vehicle maintenance concerns, incidents, or delivery issues promptly
- Assist with warehouse, shipping, and yard activities as required
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe work environment
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with Air Brake Endorsement
- Clean driver abstract
- Previous commercial driving and delivery experience
- Demonstrated mountain and winter driving experience
- Strong commitment to safe work practices
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on the road
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Problem‑solving mindset and critical thinking
- Accurate completion of delivery documentation
- Ability to travel and stay overnight when needed
- Experience delivering building materials, windows, doors, or construction products
- Forklift certification or operating material‑handling equipment
- Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, or logistics environments
- Knowledge of load securement best practices
