Job Overview
LHH is working with a reputable boutique litigation firm in Chino Hills to identify a skilled Litigation Attorney for a contract‑to‑hire role.
Job Type: Full‑Time, Contract‑to‑Hire, Hybrid (1‑2 days onsite)
The firm seeks an attorney with 5+ years of civil litigation experience, ideally including asbestos/toxic tort litigation. The attorney will be responsible for managing cases through all stages of pre‑litigation, including depositions, law & motion, and pre‑litigation evaluations.
Responsibilities- Pre‑litigation tasks: client intake, factual investigations, analysis of liability and damages, drafting demand letters, and coordinating with experts
- Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery
- Prepare and argue law & motion
- Take and defend depositions
- Manage case strategy and client communications
- Maintain sensitivity and professionalism regarding the nature of asbestos‑related matters
- Work closely with a seasoned team on a manageable caseload
- 5+ years of experience handling civil litigation matters
- Experience with asbestos litigation highly preferred
- Strong background in depositions and motion practice
- Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills
- Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
