Reporting to the Store Manager, the Meat Department Manager is responsible for Meat department operation by achieving its profit/loss results, business goals, and customer requests. The position also supports the Store Manager on other matters as assigned.

You Will- Oversee daily operations and staff performance to ensure smooth and efficient department workflow.
- Lead the team to achieve department goals through effective planning, performance management, and collaboration.
- Manage merchandise ordering, inventory control, and product display to maintain quality, freshness, and proper stock levels (FIFO practices).
- Plan and execute promotional activities to drive sales and meet business objectives.
- Provide coaching, on‑the‑job training, and mentorship to support staff development and performance.
- Conduct regular quality checks during receiving and storage, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor market trends, gather customer feedback, and design effective response strategies.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by building rapport, handling inquiries or complaints professionally, and fostering a welcoming environment.
- Promote teamwork and cultivate an inclusive, respectful workplace culture.
- Fulfill any additional responsibilities as assigned by superiors, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the department.
- Good communication skills in English; proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a supervisory role preferred, demonstrating strong leadership and training abilities.
- Basic knowledge of profit and loss control; able to interpret data and analyze market trends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Well‑versed in workplace health and safety practices.
- Strong knowledge of merchandise management, including inventory control and promotional execution.
- Familiar with tools and equipment relevant to the role; able to accurately interpret product labels.
- Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Self‑motivated, accountable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
