Product Designer

Your Challenge:
Join Philips Avent’s global design community and create products that make a real difference in the lives of parents and babies. From Shenzhen, you will collaborate directly with our Amsterdam design team and bring ideas from first sketch to production—building a portfolio with global impact.

This role is ideal for designers who want both creative design execution ownership and international exposure within a trusted global brand.

• Transform consumer insights into strong product concepts and experiences for launch
• Create sketches, early volume models, CAD files, CMF directions, and production-ready specifications
• Work closely with senior designers in Amsterdam and collaborate with engineers, researchers, brand teams, and suppliers across China and Europe
• Apply and evolve Philips Avent’s Design Language System, ensuring globally consistent, high design quality
• Support design-for-manufacturing and guide implementation in partnership with local engineering teams safeguarding design quality

This position offers accelerated growth in product design craftsmanship, cross-cultural collaboration, and end-to-end product creation.

• 5+ years in product design with a proven track record in consumer products and concept-to-execution design.

• Strong sketching, visualization, and storytelling ability.
• Proficiency in CAD (Rhino or Solid Works) and excellence in form development.
• Ability to apply design language systems, brand values, and CMF guidelines to create designs ready for launch.
• Experience in user research, benchmarking, and insight translation to create user-centered design solutions
• Clear communication skills and confidence working across disciplines and cultures.

  Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)

• Curious and proactive, eager to learn from global experts.
• Empathic and user-driven, with the ability to simplify complex inputs into strong design directions.
• Creative problem-solving mindset enabling execution of excellent design quality with speed

• Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.

• Collaborate daily with top Philips designers in Amsterdam and elevate your design craft to global standards.
• Own the full design journey—from idea to manufacturing—and see your concepts become products used by families worldwide.
• Build an international portfolio with strong brand reputation.

This is an office-based role with strong collaboration across design, engineering, and brand functions. We believe that we are better together than apart. This means working in-person at least 4 days per week.
