Industrial Engineer

Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking an Industrial Engineer based in Chino, CA. The Industrial Engineer is responsible for driving Lean system adoption across the plant, carries through complex engineering projects and participates in new product implementations. Serving as a technical resource and mentor within the operations team, partners with cross-functional departments to implement sustainable solutions that enhance operational performance and support continuous improvement capability.

HIRING SALARY RANGE:
Base Salary $90,000 - $115,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.

• Plan and execute projects that reduce waste, improve flow, and support Lean maturity and driving measurable change while ensuring cross-functional alignment
• Develop and sustain standard work documents, operator visuals, and layered audits
• Collaborate with EHS to assess risk, redesign workstations, and implement safe practices while integrating safety into continuous improvement without slowing delivery
• Participate in the manufacturing readiness process for new product introductions, and product changes, including process design, equipment validation, and operator training
• Use time studies, OEE, and performance data to identify efficiency opportunities, including balancing cost reduction with employee engagement and quality assurance

• 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing excellence, or continuous improvement roles within a production environment
• Demonstrated success leading Lean projects, facilitating cross-functional initiatives, and mentoring junior team members
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
