Job Description
We are looking for a Payroll & HR Administrator in the Chino area.
Shift Hrs. 7am-4pm M-F + OT
Pay Range: $25.00-$28.00 /hr.
The Payroll & HR Administrator is responsible for preparing and processing payroll, managing petty cash controls, and serving as the primary HR liaison for workers’ compensation matters. This role supports daily administrative and HR functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective communication between employees, management, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration Prepare, review, and process accurate and timely payroll- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, company policies, and payroll regulations
- Maintain payroll records, timesheets, and employee pay data
- Address payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
- Manage petty cash fund, including disbursements and replenishment
- Perform regular petty cash reconciliations
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls
- Serve as the main point of contact for workers’ compensation claims
- Coordinate with insurance carriers, HR, supervisors, and employees regarding claims
- Track claim status, documentation, and follow-up requirements
- Assist with incident reporting and ensure timely submission of required forms
- Support HR with onboarding, offboarding, and general employee inquiries
- Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance-related tasks
- Provide general administrative support as needed
- 2+ years of experience in payroll, accounting, or HR administration
- Experience processing payroll and handling petty cash reconciliation
- Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); payroll software experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Office-based role with regular interaction across departments
